  1. Opening Prayer
    • As the eye of almighty Yahweh roams the earth, I believe Tenessee
    • Whatever you want to do there is a Yes in us
    • Rock us in our comfort
    • Wherever you are
  2. Verse
    • Acts 12:1
      • About that time Herod the king laid violent hands on some who belonged to the church.
        He killed James the brother of John with the sword,
        and when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread.
        And when he had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him over to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out to the people.
        So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.
        Now when Herod was about to bring him out, on that very night, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries before the door were guarding the prison. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands. And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself and put on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.”
        And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.
        When they had passed the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate leading into the city. It opened for them of its own accord, and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel left him. When Peter came to himself, he said, “Now I am sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.
  3. Where we are
    • Killing apostolic expression of Church
    • No teaching of tithing as we would rather be  liked, then  for the congregants to be blessed
    • No teaching about Spiritual Authority
  4. Sleeping
    • It was not an idle threat had they already killed James
    • But, Peter knew the intercession of the Church was destined to change the Apostolic expression of the Kingdom
    • We have killed the Apostolic expression of the faith, as it will sometimes keep you in Church till 2 O’Clock

Proverbs 30

Proverbs 30:1-5
Who has ascended to heaven and come down?
Who has gathered the wind in his fists?
Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is his son’s name?
Surely you know!
Every word of God proves true;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Do not add to his words,
lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.

Proverbs 30:12-16

There are those who are clean in their own eyes
but are not washed of their filth.

There are those—how lofty are their eyes,
how high their eyelids lift!

There are those whose teeth are swords,
whose fangs are knives,
to devour the poor from off the earth,
the needy from among mankind.

The leech has two daughters:
Give and Give.
Three things are never satisfied;
four never say, “Enough”:
Sheol, the barren womb,
the land never satisfied with water,
and the fire that never says, “Enough.”

Isaiah 42

The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed

Why do the nations rage

and the peoples plot in vain?

The kings of the earth set themselves,

and the rulers take counsel together,

against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,

“Let us burst their bonds apart

and cast away their cords from us.”

He who sits in the heavens laughs;

the Lord holds them in derision.

Then he will speak to them in his wrath,

and terrify them in his fury, saying,

As for me, I have set my King

on Zion, my holy hill.”

I will tell of the decree:

The Lord said to me, “You are my Son

today I have begotten you…

Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,

and the ends of the earth your possession…”

The Lord’s Chosen Servant
Behold my servant, whom I uphold,
my chosen, in whom my soul delights;

I have put my Spirit upon him;
he will bring forth justice to the nations.

He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice,
or make it heard in the street;
a bruised reed he will not break,
and a faintly burning wick he will not quench;
he will faithfully bring forth justice.

He will not grow faint or be discouraged
till he has established justice in the earth;
and the coastlands wait for his law.

…..
….

who gives breath to the people on it
and spirit to those who walk in it:
I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness;
I will take you by the hand and keep you;
I will give you as a covenant for the people,
a light for the nations,
to open the eyes that are blind,
to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon,
from the prison those who sit in darkness.
I am the Lord; that is my name;
my glory I give to no other,
nor my praise to carved idols.
Behold, the former things have come to pass,
and new things I now declare;
before they spring forth
I tell you of them.”

John 15:1

I Am the True Vine
I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.
Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.
Abide in me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.
Abide in my love.
If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.
These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

Messianic Torah Observant Israel – Baptism of Fire & Other Sermons

      • Baptism of Fire – Part 1
        In the Gospel of Matthew 3:11 we read the words of John the Baptist saying, “I indeed immerse (baptize) you in water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to bear. He shall immerse (baptize) you in the Set-apart (Holy) Spirit and fire.”
        What do you know about the Baptism of Fire. Is that what happened to those in Acts 2?
        Listen as Rabbi Steve Berkson brings some understanding and clarity to this misunderstood subject

    • Understanding the Ruach
    • Beware False Teachers
      International conspiracy, global domination, lies, deception, extortion – sounds like a James Bond movie, doesn’t it? Actually, it’s in the pages of the Scriptures as they refer to the End of Days that could be quickly upon us all. No one can or will be excluded from the events that have been prophesied to happen. A world leader is coming who will draw everyone to him so that, if it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived. He is infamously known as “The Anti-Christ (or Anti-Messiah).” Rabbi Steve Berkson lays out very clearly in this teaching the how, what, and why to being able to recognize this one who will be the most evil person of all time and, just like a James Bond movie, there is a twist at the end.

Baptism of Fire

Part III

Rabbi Steve Berkson begins Part 3 of this teaching in Leviticus 26:23 where he shows us that the Baptism of Fire has many facets such as being “instructed” of YHVH through “punishment” for disobedience and breaking His Covenant. Then, we see discipleship terminology as we go to Matthew 11:25-30 and read Yeshua’s words, verse 29, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble in heart, and you shall find rest for your beings. For My yoke is gentle and My burden is light.” This verse is linked back to Leviticus as YHVH told those of that time that He has broken the bars of their yoke (of Egypt) and made them walk upright (taking on His Yoke); the yoke symbolizes learning and being in submission to the Torah of YHVH which gives us rest which Rabbi Steve links to Jeremiah 6:16, Thus said יהוה , “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and find rest for yourselves.” Rabbi Berkson then teaches us another facet of the Baptism of Fire which is the persecution we will face as we walk in Torah-Observance. Possibly, we may need to detach from things or others, even as close as our own hand or foot (Matt 18:8), so that we can walk unimpeded spiritually. Then, Rabbi Berkson takes us to the writings of the Apostle Shaul (Paul) to the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 3) as the Apostle explains to his congregation that each one builds upon the foundation, which is Messiah Yeshua, using various materials. Those materials may or may not make it through the Baptism of Fire which, as Rabbi Berkson points out, is why it’s so important for us to submit to a chosen and appointed authority, in discipleship, so that they can instruct us as to what materials we should build with that will pass through the fire to the other side.

Understanding the Ruach

Part 1:

  1. Exodus 20:18-20 & Acts 2
    • Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.”Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin.”  ( Exodus 20:18-20 )

Desiring God Conference – 2013

10/40 Window

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/10/40_Window

The 10/40 Window is a term coined by Christian missionary strategist Luis Bush in 1990 to refer to those regions of the eastern hemisphere, plus the European and African part of the western hemisphere, located between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator, a general area that in 1990 was purported to have the highest level of socioeconomic challenges and least access to the Christian message and Christian resources on the planet.

The 10/40 Window concept highlights these three elements: an area of the world with great poverty and low quality of life, combined with lack of access to Christian resources. The Window forms a band encompassing Saharan and Northern Africa, as well as almost all of Asia (West Asia, Central Asia, South Asia, East Asia and much of Southeast Asia). Roughly two-thirds of the world population lives in the 10/40 Window. The 10/40 Window is populated by people who are predominantly Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, animist, Jewish or atheist. Many governments in the 10/40 Window are formally or informally opposed to Christian work of any kind within their borders.
