Jan Markell :- Prophecy – “Damage has been done”

Background

Lately the Headlines has been anything but good.

Whether it be Brexit, Federal Government Shutdown in the US, Los Angeles School Teachers on Strike, and on and on.

The Church

The Church which is supposed to provide a strong and stable voice has not done much better.

Jan Markell

Jan Markell offers a quick summary on the divergent voices as it relates to interpreting the end time scenarios mentioned in the Book of Revelations.

Be forewarned, she names names; not for the sake of doing so but as textural proof that these are not just hypothetical, nuanced arguments, but ones that are researched, publicly documented, and argued.

Background

Again this is an area that I will rather not go down.

Yet it shows the burden of being called by God to weigh all things, being patient, and look for the good in all things.

  • Clients who have issues with their religious upbringing.
  • Individuals who have had problems with abusive religious and therapeutic groups (i.e. *cults, new religious movements and sects) or abusive relationships.

Did you know

Link

  • Since World War Two there has been an explosion of abusive groups
  • More and more marriages and families are broken up because of the influence of self-styled gurus
  • Young people are giving up promising careers to follow bogus paths
  • Elderly people are parting with huge financial sums often leaving them penniless
  • Many of these victims develop serious psychological and emotional problems which are often misdiagnosed
  • THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT WEAK OR STUPID, THEY ARE THE VICTIMS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL MANIPULATION.

Link

  • 2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him [ Parousia ],
  • 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
  • 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
  • 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
  • 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
  • 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
  • 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
  • 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
  • 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
  • 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
  • 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
  • 13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Suleiman 1556

    Holy Sites in Jerusalem

Throughout the history of Jerusalem, the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths have treasured the sacredness of the Holy Land and its Holy City Jerusalem. From the uniqueness of this City built on Seven Hills, each faith has flourished. Today’s visitor to the Holy City of Jerusalem delights in the passion and greatness of Israel’s capital awash with history, shrines holy to three faiths and relics of the past still very much alive today. The major shrines, the Wailing Wall, Temple Mount and Church of the Holy Sepulcher are highlights of each tourist’s experience. Ancient Jerusalem flourished in what today we call The Old City surrounded by its 465-year old wall. The wall has a total of 11 gates, but only seven are open – Jaffa, Zion, Dung, Loins (St. Stephen’s), Herod’s, Damascus (Shechem) and The New Gate. During the years 1536 – 1541, the Turkish sultan Suleiman built these walls. From atop this wall, one has a unique perspective into the life in the Old City.

  2. Suleiman the Magnificent: Builder of Ottoman Jerusalem
    Link

Sultan Suleiman I, the Magnificent, al-Qanuni (“The Lawgiver”), was the greatest sultan of the Ottoman Empire’s many centuries, the man who extended Ottoman dominion to the very gates of Western Europe, and established the laws and cultural norms that would hold sway in the Empire until its dissolution – and influence the modern Turkish state that emerged from the empire’s ruins.
Though Suleiman was a man of many turbans – conqueror, legislator, patron, poet – it was as a builder that he is remembered in Jerusalem. The city had come under Ottoman control in 1517, when municipal authorities, nominally subject to the Egyptian Mamluks, peacefully handed administrative power over Jerusalem to Sultan Selim I, Suleiman’s father. Upon assuming the throne and expanding Ottoman control even deeper into the Middle East, Suleiman embarked on an ambitious series of public works projects in the major cities of the Islamic world. Suleiman’s efforts in Jerusalem included an extensive renovation of the Dome of the Rock and an upgrade to the civic infrastructure that remains the symbol of Jerusalem to this day: the walls of the Old City. After weathering waves of successive conquerors, Jerusalem’s walls had fallen into disrepair, and by the time of the Ottomans’ arrival, the city was barely fortified. Suleiman commissioned the city wall overhaul in 1536 to protect Jerusalem’s perse inhabitants from a feared Crusader invasion. Although the European kingdoms had not launched a potent Crusade for several centuries by Suleiman’s time, the memory of successive Christian assaults on the Holy Land was still fresh in the minds of the region’s Muslim majority. Suleiman’s crenellated wall, over 40 feet in height, included over thirty towers and countless firing slits, all to provide ample defense from an invasion force that, ironically, never arrived. Seven gates, still open today, allowed access to every quarter of the newly fortified city.Suleiman, possessed of a remarkable religious tolerance for his time, also stressed the inclusion of the holy sites of all Jerusalem’s faiths within his city plan. When he learned that his architects had left Mount Zion, holy to the city’s Jews and Christians, outside the confines of the new wall, he had them executed (the sultan was somewhat less tolerant of failure). Under Suleiman’s benevolent rule, the revitalized Jerusalem flourished, the increased security and enforced religious tolerance sparking immigration to the city and an expansion of the mercantile economy. Unfortunately, after Suleiman’s death in 1566, the attentions of succeeding sultans turned away from Jerusalem, and the city began a slow decline that lasted until waves of immigration in the late 1800s began to turn the city’s fortunes. Still, centuries of Ottoman neglect and the tumult of the 20th century couldn’t diminish the magnitude of Suleiman’s accomplishments. Nearly 500 years after their completion, the walls of Jerusalem stand firm, an enduring testament to the devotion of a single man, and an inspiration to the countless pilgrims who have stood in the shadows of their battlements.

In the 16th century, during the reign of the Ottoman Empire in the region, Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent decided to fully rebuild the city walls, partially on the remains of the ancient walls. The construction lasted from 1535–1538, and these are the walls that exist today.
An inscription in Arabic from the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent states:

Has decreed the construction of the wall he who has protected the home of Islam with his might and main and wiped out the tyranny of idols with his power and strength, he whom alone God has enabled to enslave the necks of kings in countries (far and wide) and deservedly acquire the throne of the Caliphate, the Sultan son of the Sultan son of the Sultan son of the Sultan, Suleyman

Critique

There are other YouTube videos posted by Robert Mawire.

There are important areas that I am perplexed as to how Robert Mawire reached his conclusions.

I will let you review his videos and judged which areas your thoughts and conclusions coincide with his.

And, the areas where your soul and spirit of God remains unsure or even troubled.

Summary

Again, please let us not not be flippant with what Robert Mawire is saying.

To me, Robert is not talking about end of times.  But, the end of an Age, the Age of Grace.

And, if the numbers are way off, one should keep in mind a couple of things.

And, those are:

  1. Dispensation is a time bracket
    • No one knows the time
    • But, each one of us should have a perception of what he or she is called to do
  2. Terms of Grace is an important and material fact of life and our interaction with each other

On February 4, 2015, at Convocation, North America’s largest weekly gathering of Christian students, Mattie Montgomery addressed the student body at Liberty University. Mattie talks about using platforms. He reads from a passage in Acts. This ties into his message about platforms and reaching the world for Jesus regardless of the platform and just walking along with God instead of just working for God.

Mattie Montgomery Tells His Story

  1. If I want to leave people better than how I find them, I can not be taking from them, I have to give to them
  2. God is always in the background, working on me,
  3. I did not have anything to give to anyone, and so I had to leave everything I had behind

Todd White, Mattie Montgomery, Ben Fitzgerald and Daniel Hagen Q&A

Todd White

    1. .. May give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in your knowledge of Him. I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of His power to us who believe. He displayed this power in the working of His mighty strength … ( Ephesians 1:18 )
    2. Continue in Him
      • I have written these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you.   And as for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But just as His true and genuine anointing teaches you about all things, so remain in Him as you have been taught. ( 1 John 2:26-28 )
    3. Studying the Bible without the Holy Spirit teaches you only Head Knowledge
    4. I not only want to read the Bible, I want your word to read me
      • So that my sins and lies can be illuminated
    5. All of the gifts are a byproduct of being a son

Mattie Montgomery

  1. If and when is it right to talk about Eternity and Hell, when Evangelizing
    • We evangelize because we are conscious of Hell and Eternity
    • Growing our Church will not sustain us
    • If one loses focus of hell, we will lose our Passion
    • Conscious of Eternal blows wind in our sail\soul
    • They may never get another opportunity to hear the Gospel
    • Met 3 young men
    • One said he did not need prayer, as he was his own God
    • There was an accident and the lost man lost his Life
    • The reality of Eternity and the Closeness of Eternity has to be central to the Evangelizing Lifestyle

Momentum

    • It does not take Faith to believe God exist
    • It takes Faith to to put your Life in his hands and not know what he will do with it
    • Direction without Encounter is Religion
  3. Altar in front of the throne of God, because the place of encounter is the place of Worship
  4. There is a purpose for encounter and that purpose is Transformation
  5. The Servant’s Obedience
    • The Lord has given me an Instructed tongue ( Isaiah 50:4 )
      • The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word.
He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple.
The Lord GOD has opened My ear; And I was not disobedient Nor did I turn back.…
