Background
I will like to speak on “Remembering to lift each other up“.
Personal Note
It has been a tough last couple of weeks for me.
The lone brightness has been God’s people standing with me.
Scripture
1st Timothy
- 1st Timothy 3:15 – The mystery of Godliness ( Link )
- 13 For they that have ministered well, shall purchase to themselves a good degree, and much confidence in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
14 These things I write to thee, hoping that I shall come to thee shortly.
15 But if I tarry long, that you may know how you ought to behave yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16 And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: Who was revealed in the flesh, was justified in the Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.
- 13 For they that have ministered well, shall purchase to themselves a good degree, and much confidence in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
- 1st Timothy 4:13 – A Good Minister of Jesus Christ ( Link )
- Douay-Rheims Bible
- 13 Till I come, attend unto reading, to exhortation, and to doctrine.
- Amplified Bible
- 13 Until I come, devote yourself to public reading [of Scripture], to preaching and to teaching [the sound doctrine of God’s word].

1st Corinthians
- 1st Corinthians 16:15 – Concluding Exhortations ( Link )
- 14 Do everything in love.
15 You know that Stephanas and his household were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. Now I urge you, brothers,
16 to submit to such as these, and to every fellow worker and laborer.
- 14 Do everything in love.
Acts
- Acts 20:32-38 – Paul’s Farewell to the Ephesians ( Link )
- 32 And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all who are sanctified.
33 I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing.
34 You yourselves know that these hands of mine have ministered to my own needs and those of my companions.
35 In everything, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus Himself: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
36 When Paul had said this, he knelt down with all of them and prayed.
37 They all wept openly as they embraced Paul and kissed him.
38 They were especially grieved by his statement that they would never see his face again. Then they accompanied him to the ship.
- 32 And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all who are sanctified.
