That is higher than Plant’s mark of 24.4%, but does that give him the ultimate edge?
While Benavidez has the striking power, Plant’s opposition lands the sixth-fewest total punches per round with 7.3.
He also allows the ninth-fewest power punches landed per round in all of boxing at 5.5. Plant has proven the power is there, as seen against Anthony Dirrell.
However, even if he can’t chop down Benavidez, he can neutralize him with his movement and fighting in the clinch.
