Will like to post a couple of times on our title verse.

¹³ Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest is a trustworthy messenger to those who send him; he refreshes the soul of his masters.

¹⁴ Like clouds and wind without rain is the man who boasts of gifts never given.

There are seasons
Touched on here is a time of harvest
King Solomon commends a special someone
A King commends a messenger
King Solomon says if a messenger is trustworthy, the soul of his master is refreshed

¹⁴ Like clouds and wind without rain is the man who boasts of gifts never given

King Solomon stays outside
But, this time, he reverses his discourse
He speaks of a man who boasts of gifts never given
Linguistically, he is precise
- He does not say the man did not receive the gift
- He does not say the man misappropriated the gift
- He says the gifts were never given in the first place
- Yet, the man is abroad boasting of those same gifts
