Story Time
My Brother Mookie came back home for the long Independent Day Weekend.
We went and picked up lunch at this very familiar Mexican Eatery on our little town’s main boulevard.
Mookie ordered a big steak burrito.
I got a fish dinner.
We took a seat outside as we waited for our food to be prepared.
A young man that looks to be on the other side of his 50’s was quickly grubbing.
Burdened to leave men to quietly pick at their food, I asked how his day is.
His face answered for him, not so good.
He asked us what today is.
He said he went to the Bank of America ( B of A ) branch and they were closed.
Speaking more to self, he thought out Loud, is it a Public holiday?
Ruefully, he allowed, a hundred dollar bill only goes so far.
Just like that it is gone.
Then, I remembered.
It is the same man that arrived at the restaurant the same time we did.
I tried gesturing Hi as he walked out of his work truck.
But, he did not acknowledge.
But, here I have another chance.
I asked him what he does for a living.
He said he is a farmer.
He has been one for the last 5 years, he wouldn’t quite let hear.
He works the farmland that is right off the highway; on the way out of town.
But, the drought is making that hard.
No Rain.
Weigh in the sky high diesel price.
Numbers don’t lie.
It don’t pay to have grown men come to work to turn the soil over, till, and seed it.
Moral of the story
khloe kardashian
Barely in my own body
The reality star and Halle Berry were both in attendance at the early-December awards show, and when Berry was onstage, a Twitter user read into Kardashian’s facial expression. They posted, “Okay who saw that ‘I don’t care’ sorta look on @khloekardashian when @halleberry was on stage, not cool man.”
Kardashian swiftly responded to the claim. “That’s disappointing my face gave that expression,” she tweeted. “Halle Berry is such a force. Absolutely Stunning and beyond talented. To Be Honest (Tbh ) I’m barely in my own body right now. Please don’t read into anything. Also please don’t tear me apart because you assumed something.”

Remember the Ladies
The future First Lady wrote in part, “I long to hear that you have declared an independency. And, by the way, in the new code of laws which I suppose it will be necessary for you to make, I desire you would remember the ladies and be more generous and favorable to them than your ancestors. Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the husbands. Remember, all men would be tyrants if they could. If particular care and attention is not paid to the ladies, we are determined to foment a rebellion, and will not hold ourselves bound by any laws in which we have no voice or representation.”
