1 Corinthians 13 – Love

¹ If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal. ² If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. ³ If I give all I possess to the poor and exult in the surrender of my body, but have not love, I gain nothing.

⁴ Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. ⁵  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs. ⁶ Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices in the truth. ⁷It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

⁸ Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be restrained; where there is knowledge, it will be dismissed. ⁹ For we know in part and we prophesy in part, ¹⁰ but when the perfect comes, the partial passes away.

¹¹ When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I set aside childish ways. ¹² Now we see but a dim reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

¹³ And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love.

1. Gifts
   • In the spirit you can weigh small
   • There are many people that are receiving applause on the earth, but have no identity in the Heavens
   • Nigeria
     • It is sad that due to all the prophetic nuisances moving around in Nigeria, the prophetic ministry has been corrupted
     • Somebody just sees a watch or a leaf in the spirit and calls himself a prophet
   • Though I have the gifts of prophetic
     • Not even the office of prophecy, but the actual gifts
2. Mysteries
   • Understand all mysteries
   • There are few things in the bible that are called mysteries
   • Example
     • Mystery of Godliness
     • Mystery of Iniquity
   • Not all things in the bible are called mysteries
   • There are many things that you can read up on
   • If it is referred to in the bible as a mystery, then only the spirit can reveal it
3. Strangeness
   • This is strange
   • Because when God starts to give us an assessment of people, we will be disappointed
   • God did not say
     • They are not born again
     • He did not say they are not his
   • He simply said they weigh small in the spirit
4. Kingdom Financier ( 1st Corinthians 13:2 )
   • Gave all my gifts to the poor
   • Poured all my resources to give to the poor
5. Moved Mountains ( 1st Corinthians 13:3 )
6. Gave my body ( John 15:13 & 1st Corinthians 13:2 )
   • The bible says no greater love than this, for a man give his body
   • But, here it contradicts that
   • It states that it is possibly to lay down one’s life and not have love
7. What is this love then?
   • We give love a feminine nature
   • I am not talking about affection here
8. What is this realm in the spirit that is
   • Greater than Faith
   • Greater than Hope
