GitLab:- Register Account


A few posts back spoke on the very minimalist design of GitHub’s Snippet functionality.

I have been meaning to look into GitLab’s support for snippets.

But, first, let us register for GitLab.





Registering for GitLab involves very few steps.

  2. Email
    • Receive Email
    • Respond to Email
  3. Personalize
    • Select a role
    • I am signing up for GibLab because
    • Who will be using GitLab
      • My Company/team
      • Just Me
    • What will you like to do
      • Create a new project
      • Join a project
  4. Create or Import Your First Project
    • Option:- Create Project
      • Group Name
      • Project Name
    • Option:- Import Project
      • Import From
        • GitLab
        • GitHub
        • BitBucket Cloud
        • BitBucket Server
        • Gitea
        • Repo By URL
        • Manifest File

It is very easy to signup for GitLab.

Unfortunately, upon signing up and using the tool for the first time, the system prompts you to create a new project or import an existing project.

We chose to close the browser’s tab on this modal option.
