- In this conversation, I will try to demystify the man’s view
- Rejection
- I know the rejection men go through
- Plague Bearers
- They did not fall from the sky
- But, once on the street, society treats them like they are plague bearers
- Government
- The government does not feature you in its plans
- Ills of being homeless
- Lack of access to a dwelling
- Lack of access to a dwelling means inability to get access to running water
- In-access to running water means being unable to get clean
- Lack of friendship and community
- Newspaper stand
- If a street person goes to a newspaper stand, people will vacate immediately
- Lack of Association
- They will judge the street-walker
- He will be judged as not being able to read
- He will be judged as being illiterate
- They will judge the street-walker
- Lack of work
- Lack of access to a dwelling
- Reasons for homelessness
- Addictions
- Alcohol
- Drugs
- Child Welfare System
- About 85% of child welfare recipients do not have an exit plan
- And, therefore the welfare recipients end up homeless
- A child is rescued as a young child and taken through the system
- It is not the child’s fault
- They never receive a good education
- Before they are eighteen they are sent away from the group home
- The group home is only set for children under 18 years old
- They have no Identification Card
- What can you do in this country without an ID
- Tell me what can you do?
- You cannot even register your sim card
- You cannot get a job without an ID
- Addictions
- Need
- Some of them are not walking up to you because they need a handout
- Humanize
- Some of them just want you to humanize them
- He is a Child of God
- What does it cost you to simply tell him “God Loves You“

- Through this story,I seek to speak to men(the young & not so young) who for various reasons and pain seem to believe a solution can be found in alcohol or drugs.
If you know anyone in this situation…kindly forward to them.
It may help them understand that alcohol & drugs only lead to IMMENSE PAIN & SUFFERING as evidenced by my story.
But…God always has a WAY OUT.
