Praying for the ones we lost

Background

Lately, this blog covers more stories of young people lost to violence than was ever intended; nor I would have ever imagined.

Reasons

Outline

Here are some of the reasons why:-

  1. Violence
    • Internet
    • Awareness
  2. Family
  3. Spirituality
    • Christianity

Violence

Internet

Unfortunately, the Internet has brought buyers and sellers so much closer together.

Easily accessible media includes Social Networks ( Facebook and Instagram ) and Craigslist.

Awareness

If it bleeds, it leads.

That is the mantra of TV.

And, maybe of YouTube, as well.

Family

As one engages his or her community, one gets to meet people and hopefully their friends, co-workers, siblings, parents, and grandparents.

As that meeting grows more intimately, one gets to know what people care the most about is their family wellbeing.

Beloved

I like it that your Jesus, my Jesus, is no longer talking about the Kingdom of God.

He is now using personal pronouns.

He is talking about Fatherhood.

He is talking about Intimacy and Presence.

Dedication

Always in dedication to the young ones we have lost and the family soldering towards that day.
