Microsoft – Windows – Process – USO Core Worker Process

Background

I needed to see why a family member’s computer was using so much memory.

Launched Task Manager and was familiar with most of the processes.

Disable Delivery Optimisation and make sure all your updates are installed, and restart. It should go down and stay down.

Outline

  1. Launch MS Windows Service Applet
  2. Selected the “Delivery Optimization” service
  3. Right-click on your selection
  4. The dropdown menu appears, choose the Stop Option

Summary

Unfortunately, one will have to apply this remediation occasionally.

The “Delivery Optimization” service is an essential part of Microsoft Windows.
