Politics, Religion, Court System, Current Affairs, and You

Two weeks to election time and it is the fourth week of October.

I have heard a few sermons and a couple of commentaries.

YouTube Pastors

It is the season where many will go on TV shows and Youtube to predict this or that.

Listen in and see how they make their arguments.

How the revelations come to them?

Many have late-night dreams, some went to heaven a few times, and others trek a couple of patched ways to procure this hidden knowledge.

I have family members who are pastors.

I have asked them what they think about things outside the bible.

They will politely say they stay clear of things outside of the bible.

Instead, they focus on the bible and not on current affairs.

  1. Jeremiah
    • Jeremiah 23:28 [ Link ]
      • Let the prophet who has a dream retell it, but let him who has My word speak it truthfully.
For what is straw compared to grain?” declares the LORD.
“Is not My word like fire” declares the LORD
    • Jeremiah 23:30 [ Link ]
      • I am against the prophets who steal from one another words they attribute to Me.
  2. 1st Corinthians
    • 1 Corinthians 14:32 [ Link ]
      • …For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. The spirits of prophets are subject to prophets. For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace—as in all the churches of the saints.…
  3. Matthew
    • Matthew 5:37 [ Link ]
      • Simply let your ‘Yes be ‘Yes, and your ‘No, ‘No.
      • Anything more comes from the evil one.
  4.  Romans
    • Romans 13:8 [  Link ]
      • NIV
        • Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
        • Owe no man anything, but to love one another.
      • English Standard Version
        • Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
      • Study Bible
        • Pay everyone what you owe him: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due. Be indebted to no one, except to one another in love. For he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. The commandments “Do not commit adultery,”

Court System

Please, family, understand that good people are heavily and rightfully working behind the scene to avoid litigation.

  1. 1st Corinthians
    • 1st Corinthians 6:1 [ Link ]
      • If any of you has a grievance against another, how dare he go to law before the unrighteous instead of before the saints!
Do you not know that the saints will judge the world?

And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases?

Church & Current Affairs

  1. 2nd Timothy
    • 2nd Timothy 4:3 [ Link ]
      • …Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction. For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.…
  2. 1st Corinthians
    • 1st Corinthians 10:13 [ Link ]
      • …So the one who thinks he is standing firm should be careful not to fall. No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it. Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.…

Sundar Pichai

  1. “I’ve had Googlers ask me how they can help, and my answer is simple: keep doing what you’re doing,” Pichai wrote. “The best way we can help the company in times like these is by staying deeply focused on our mission.”

  1. Philippians
    • Philippians 4:6-8 ( Stand Firm in the Lord )
      • …Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things.…
