Dear Rider,

We invite you to take the following survey and tell us your opinion about how we could address the societal issues of homelessness, behavioral health and substance use in our system in the future.

Survey Questions

Question – 01

How do you think we should address drug use; what type of personnel, interventions, tactics etc.?

Drug use is a very big issue.

People on drugs feel they should light up when the urge hits them.

It is difficult to intercede at the time of conception.

The user wants to be in a different place and has procured a bit of money to get him\her there.

At that junction, seemingly, the person does not want to have sane conversations.

He will take it that you are robbing him of his high.

Question – 02

How do you think we should address unhoused riders; what type of personnel, interventions, tactics etc.?

Again, in the municipal that we live, there is a lot of homelessness.

Unfortunately, Bart as a public entity is been used to service the unmet need.

I think ride-ship by homeless people occur more late at night and the early hours of the morning.

During those times, un-housed riders are moving towards where they will spend the night.

Or away from where they spent the night.

Or just trying to be like everyone else, reflect regular commuters.

A deeper issue is mental health; people’s perception and ability to cope is not so good.

I think trying to help and intervene with a small group, offering them housing, might help us better understand how to help as well as the cost of helping.

Informing as to whether habits do change.

Question – 03

    • where are you coming from
    • Build consistency
    • Can only help when there is a bit of consistency and adherence
  5. Offer and Build a bit of regularity

For the passengers:-

  1. Risk
    • Know something is been done
    • Understand that risk is measured
    • And, in instances where risk is unknown, the system is working towards knowledge
    • Intervention will be quick and swift
  2. Funds are being moved towards predictability in terms of help
  3. We live in a big metropolis with many permutations of unknowns
