Background

I have an excel file that I need to quickly view and check off some entries.

Options

On my machine that I am using, I do not have Microsoft Office / Microsoft Excel installed.

Here are some of the options:-

Google

Zoho

Please go to Google Docs
- The URL is https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/ ( Link )
Template
- From the list of templates, please choose Blank
Import File
- From the menu, please choose File/Import
- In the Import File window, please access the “Upload” tab
- You can either drag and drop a file or “Select a File from your device“

Please download Microsoft Excel Viewer
- Unfortunately, the viewer has been deprecated by Microsoft
- Please choose credible web sources
Install Downloaded Binary
Launch Microsoft Excel Viewer
Load File
- From the menu, please choose File/Open
- In the “File Open” Dialog, please choose the file to view

Please go to Zoho’s Sheet
- The URL is https://sheet.zoho.com/sheet/excelviewer ( Link )
Import File
- One can either import a local file to specify a web site to access

Import File
- Options
  - Drag and Drop
    - One can either drag your file on to the pane
  - Upload
    - Choose to upload your file

Unable to upload a file to Aspose.

Stuck at “page loading…“.

Personally, I feel Google Docs offers the best on-ramp.

It allows one to edit the uploaded file.

And, seamless collaboration.

It is also supported on all major platforms.
