LinkedIn is a great tool for staying in touch with professional contacts.

Occasionally, one sends out invitations, and the invitations stays out there for a while.

I have spoken to a few people; sharing I sent you a LinkedIn invite, but you never accepted.

Reasons cited includes:-

Active
- I am not an active LinkedIn User
Accessibility
- I signed up for LinkedIn years ago, but do not use it much. I forget my password
Social Network
- Some people have a reticence towards Social Network

In either case, my friend, please occasionally review the invites you have sent.

I will suggest you withdraw the ones that have been outstanding for a while.
