Was working on my cousin’s iPhone this past weekend.
Issue
This morning the quickest path to charging my phone is to connect it to my laptop.
Noticed iTunes auto-launched.

Sorry, iTunes was a weekend thing, not a daily occurrence.

iTunes / Preferences
To abort auto-launch, please take these steps:-
- Launch iTunes
- Access the menu and select Edit and Preferences
- In the Preferences Window, choose “Devices“
- Make sure the “Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically” option is checked
iTunesHelper
Terminate iTunesHelper and disable auto-launch
Using one of the tools that display AutoLaunched applications, please stop the currently running iTunesHelper session and disable future auto-launch.

- Launch Task Manager
- Access the Startup tab
- Search out iTunesHelper
- Select iTunesHelper
- Right-click on your selection
- From the dropdown menu, please choose the Disable option
