For us who peddle in sharing other people’s video, we sometimes end up with a video or audio artifact whose volume is a bit low and not quite audible.

Workaround

If the message is powerful enough, it’s quality does not always dissuade us.

Useful service to make a video louder online. Just select the video file and then click the button “Upload Video”. It may take some time depending on the video length and on your bandwidth speed.

Steps
  1. Launch a web browser
  2. Navigate to https://www.videolouder.com/
  3. Choices
    • Select the Video File
      • Upload the file
    • Increase Volume / Decrease Volume
      • Choose whether you want to increase/decrease the video’s volume
    • How many decibels
      • For our purpose, we chose 10

How to Adjust Video Volume in Movie Maker

  1. Open the project you want to edit.
  2. Select the video you want to change the volume of.
  3. Click the ‘Edit’ button under the ‘Video Tools’ tab.
  4. Click the ‘Video Volume’ button.
  5. Drag the slider to adjust the volume.
  6. Got to ‘File’, then go to ‘Save Movie’.
  7. Click ‘Recommended for this project’.
  8. Choose where you want to save the file and click ‘Save’.
  9. Wait for the file to save.
