Dwelling in the secret places of the most high ( Psalm 91:1 )

  1. Exodus
    1. …And the Angel of God, who had gone before the camp of Israel, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved from before them and stood behind them, so that it came between the camps of Egypt and Israel. The cloud was there in the darkness, but it lit up the night. So all night long neither camp went near the other.

  2. Psalm
    • …How great is Your goodness which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have bestowed before the sons of men on those who take refuge in You.
You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the schemes of men. You conceal them in Your shelter from accusing tongues.
Blessed be the LORD, for He has shown me His loving devotion in a city under siege.…

    • The LORD Speaks to Elijah at Horeb
      • …Then the LORD said, “Go out and stand on the mountain before the LORD. Behold, the LORD is about to pass by.” And a great and mighty wind tore into the mountains and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake there was a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a still, small voice. When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”…

Beloved, I wish I can tell you what each of us is going through.

But, we have to be going through, to say let me leave this behind.

To decide in our spirits, what not to take in, what not to let in.

What to shut the door firmly on.

And to be able to identify with others who are walking the same journey; and quietly say I will not ask you, the care you are taking, says it all.

Having read the good book, when we experience similar needs, though at times it seems in isolation, the Spirit of a Living God says “Here are the words my Spirit is giving you to say“.

Our Soul yields, and allow the Spirit to intercede.
