… that which is in part shall be done away ( 1 Corinthians 13:10 )

Scripture

1 Corinthians 13:9-13 King James Version (KJV)
Link

9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Wedding

I have heard these verses read aloud in weddings.

And, at first it’s placeness was lost on me.

Love

But, when true love comes and it is shown to be such, that which first seemed to be a stretch does not seem so far flung after all.

Scriptures

  1. Jesus Unveils the Scriptures
    • And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone furth.  But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.
And he went in to tarry with them

Beloved

Beloved, as you know God more, as he cleans you and your life, that which we hold unto in parts, are done away with.

Prayer

Though it might appear that he is leaving, to go much further

Beloved constrain him

Have him abide in you

In his fullness and truthfulness

In his holiness and wholesomeness

Though it be the evening of your life

And, the day might be spent nearly

Have him, watch him

Tarry and come stay with you
