Be Vulnerable

This Morning

Public Transit

This morning got on an important phone call.

Of course, my favorite Public Transits, AC Transit and Bart, conspired to slow things down.

I had to have the meeting postponed for 30 minutes.

Thankfully the other participants agreed.

Conference Call

Finally got on the conference call.

They asked me what brought me here.

The Spirit in me quickened.

And, it says be honest, be faithful & fruitful, and answer in full.

And, so I was.

I went open, I went trust, and I went complete.

Why I had to Give

I already took 30 to 45 minutes of their time.

And, so I owed them something.

What Was I Given

I found out that each person at the other end of the conversation was carrying the same bucket, that I was.

Within their respective Organization, they were advocating for the same thing I was.

They spoke of the road blocks, indifference, and time gap that might delay us.

Summary

Ask God and have him be forthright as to your gaps.

All of his children have gaps; and you are seemingly not different.

Develop a public face as to who you are and what you care about.

Have God conform you to his image.

And, work with him.

Why

It is not a day’s journey; but our only admonition against critics :-

  1. Who will insist on seeing you through their narrow lens
  2. Who will attempt to squeeze you into what they seemingly captured a while ago

Family

Have God hear and see those who speak ill of his children.

Read the Books on how he sometimes allows others to test his children and what comes of the ill words spoken against you.

Just Smile.

Beloved

Your issues and delays are not always evidential materials against you.

Sometimes they serve other purposes.

You ask me :-

  1. Warfare
    • Light of Thy Countenance
      • For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them

    • He Treads
      • Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread
        ( Psalm 60:12 ) ( Link )
    • Beasts of the Field
      • And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.
        ( Deuteronomy 7:22 ) ( Link )
    • Nations Left to Test
      • These are the nations the LORD left to test all the Israelites who had not known any of the wars in Canaan, if only to teach warfare to the subsequent generations of Israel, especially to those who had not known it formerly:…Judges 3:1 )  (  Link  & Link )
  2. Teach
    • Grace and Perseverance
You therefore, my child, be strong in grace.
And the things that you have heard me say among many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be qualified to teach others as well.

Personal Demons

This is a real live story and so I have to keep it real.

There are things we do not want to let go off.

Things we are scared to let go.

In this case, a few good men pulled me aside.

It went ” Old Dude, we got you on this one”.

You on the outside making a lot of noise.

We on the inside, getting paid a lot less.

But, it don’t matter how little we do get paid, as we do have a voice.

Yours is Barking.

Ours is corporate and genial.

You letting go is not being hapless nor helpless; it is entrusting

Let it go and rely on our covering.

Dedicated

Dedicated to James, Nathan, and Venu.

Tested Men.

A family ever connecting and expanding through testing.

As it says somewhere

I have many people in this city ( Acts 18:10 )
