Background

There is an area that I have wanted to cover and revisit for a while here.

It is more than a desire, it is a conviction, a burden, that God laid on me.

 

Current Affairs

Again, watch too much YouTube videos.

Whether it is Paternity Court, Divorce Court, and so on.

One can just see and hear people play footsie with the truth.

To them what they stand to gain is more important than the hearer’s right to the truth.

 

Scripture

I am in offense too and so my word does not, and should not, carry any weight.

1. Liar
   • Devil is a Liar ( John 8:44 )
     • ⁴⁴ Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. ( KJV ) ( Link )

2. Love for Truth
   • 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11
     • And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
       And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

     • and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
       For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

3. Sanctify
   • John 17:17
     • Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

4. Test YourSelf
   • 2 Corinthians 13:5
     • Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. —unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

5. Truth Only, and Truth Alone
   • 2 Corinthians 13:8
     • For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth

6. Apostleship, Oversight, Encouragement, and Discipline

     • For this reason, I am writing this while I am away from you: When I come I do not want to be severe in using the authority the Lord gave me to build you up and not to tear you down.

Outline

1. Test
   • People will test your calling through the truth you share with them.
2. Scripture
   • Read the scriptures and see how lies came between them and their calling and destiny.
3. Safeguards
   • See what you have in place to safeguard your calling and more importantly your very soul
4. Covering
   • Seek spiritual covering
   • Acknowledge those who have laid their own lives aside to ensure that God counts you worthy through the love and care of others

In Closing

In closing, if the Living God is not using and availing his spirit, care, love, and truth to cradle and cover you, he is not using anything else.

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. ( John 16:13 )

Above, it clearly states that the Spirit refrains from talking of himself.  It goes forwards and says he guides.

He hears ( he makes time to listen to the Holy Father ), he speaks ( Words of Wisdom & Words of Knowledge ), he prophecies ( of the future ).

Personally

Personally, there are people that I have less and less time for.

Inclusive are:-

1. People who when asked specific questions they answer in generalities
   • Thankfully, God is granting enough discerning for me to know in their estimation, I am not deserving of an ounce of truth
2. People who when asked, provide many reasons & justifications; whereas the actual truth could have been easily ascertained
   • I just think and say thank God that he chose not to take time to determine the actual truth

 

But, Then

One can not be too strict about these things.

If you find you are blocked from doing right, from doing well by your Holy God, your spouse, your children, your family, your neighbor then I will say do not do so.

Do not confess your sins to one another.

Refrain from holiness, refrain from righteousness, double down as it is likely a Holy God has chosen a different pathway, a different road, a less burdensome choice for you.

Time and again, you have quenched the Holy Spirit and have availed yourself more riches than would otherwise have been bestowed on you.
