PostgreSQL :- Upgrade ( v11.x ) on MS Windows

Background

Let us quickly upgrade our PostgreSQL to the latest version.

Current Version

From issuing select version(), was able to confirm that our current version number is PostgreSQL 11.4.

Checked online and found out that Version 11.5 is out.

Download latest artifact; as of today the latest version is 11.5

Shutdown Server and Connected Clients

Using MS Window’s Services Applet, stopped the PostgreSQL Service.

Please do same with running clients ( psql, pgAdmin4 ).

Installer

Launch installer and pretty much say Yes to all screens.
