Prayers

1. NT
   • Cornelius stared at him in fear and asked, “What is it, Lord?” The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have ascended as a memorial offering before God

Fellowship

Fearing the Lord

1. OT
   • My son, fear the LORD and the king; Do not associate with those who are given to change
     ( Proverbs 24:21 )
2. NT
   • Treat everyone with high regard: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king.
     ( 1 Peter 2:17)

Dedicated

Difficult days suggest otherwise, but “Let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help. ” ( Hebrew 4:15 ).

I am thankful that it takes a Pastor’s son to lead one to all those passages that we skim over.  Here is one from Pat Schatzline in the same sermon ( referenced above ).

Between Sanctuary entrance and altar, let the priests, God’s servants, weep tears of repentance.
