Attempting to re-install MS SQL Server 2008/R2 post hard-drive crash and replacement.

Windows Installer error message: The system cannot open the device or file specified. . Click 'Retry' to retry the failed action, or click 'Cancel' to cancel this action and continue setup.
After numerous attempts determined that the Installation media (DVD) is truly bad. And, with no backup media, really was in the hunt for backup install media.
Searched persistently for SQL Server 2008/R2 Trial edition all over the Internet, including on Microsoft’s web site.
