a look for. You have ended my 4 day long hunt! God Bless you man.
Have a great day. Bye
Marvin:
You ‘re welcome. There were a few items that I listed. Do you know which entry actually helped? I wrote that entry years ago.
Happy Sharepoint (going forward).
Daniel
I had a similar issue with displaying lists in datasheet view with SharePoint 2010 Server. There were no messages about ActiveX components, simply an unhelpful message about encountering an error in IE8. The datasheet view button on the ribbon in Chrome and Firefox were greyed out and inaccessible.
I ran MS Office Repair and MS Office Diagnostics back to back, and the issue was resolved.
Thanks for the help!
Wonderful – Thanks for sharing.

In case anyone is getting the same error message with Windows 7 and IE 11 accessing a SharePoint site. Solution for me was to add the site to Compatibility View and then the Data sheet views worked fine. Diane
